At what stages are prostheses made?

First, the first measurement of the mouth is taken with an impression tray and the appropriate impression material to make the prosthesis. In plaster models of the first impressions, which are much more suitable for the mouth than standard spoons, personalized measuring spoons are made and the measurement becomes clearer with these spoons. The wax templates made on the models obtained from the second measurements are arranged in such a way that the patient's lost teeth and other tissues are protected and that the patient can accurately restore the lost aesthetic, speech and chewing functions. Wax stencils are prepared where the artificial teeth will be. The prepared wax templates are examined by placing the artificial teeth selected according to the patient in the patient's mouth. After the prostheses are approved by the doctor and the patient, they are delivered to the patient after they are completed in the laboratory. In order not to damage the supporting tissue of the delivered prosthesis, the control should be done more frequently and then less frequently.

Dentures should not dry out when not in use, so dentures should be stored in clean water when not in use.

When should prostheses be renewed?

The relationship of the prosthesis with the supporting tissue may deteriorate over time as a result of tissue shrinkage. This relationship can be achieved through preparation processes. Otherwise, the prosthesis will loosen and the tissue will begin to become irritated and painful. It may need to be renewed every 2-4 years when the material forming the prosthesis begins to create a suitable environment for the adhesion of bacteria.
